The Newsroom Behind the Casino Regina Guide

The Station Line newsroom researches, writes and signs the Regina Casino Line, and no individual is named as its writer. This is an independent city guide, not Casino Regina, not SaskGaming and not a gaming operator.

About the newsroom

The Station Line newsroom researches, writes and signs the guide collectively. It works from Casino Regina's own pages and the provincial sources. The hours board shows published hours only. When a detail is unpublished, the guide states that plainly. Sunday floor hours after 4 am are a case in point; a call to 1-800-555-3189 confirms them.

The newsroom belongs to none of SIGA, LGS, SaskGaming or Casino Regina. Its single commercial tie runs to the online casino partner that pays for links on the home page. The guide accepts no bets and keeps no player accounts.

How the facts are checked

The facts in this guide carry a check date of October 2, 2026. Each was compared against Casino Regina's own pages, Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS) and the Government of Saskatchewan. Where those pages are silent, the guide prints no guess.

Distances to towns are computed point to point from OpenStreetMap coordinates, as the crow flies. A drive on real roads runs longer.

Where the pictures come from

The station front and portal, restaurant and Show Lounge are AI-generated photo-like scenes made from real photographs, not photographs themselves. A lakeside bench at sunset is a generated scene that does not show the casino. The station front on the home and building pages is a Commons photograph by Stirlingmillar, altered to show the present navy signs and no cars. On the building page, the locomotive scene is re-made from a Commons photograph by Blake Handley, and the concourse picture is one by Drm310, used as published. Authors, licences and changes are listed in full under Image sources.

Image sources

  • Station front, on the home page and building page

Photograph by Stirlingmillar, CC BY-SA 4.0, file page on Wikimedia Commons. Altered: edited with an image generator so that the present navy CASINO REGINA signs stand where the old green script sign and canopy were, green awnings gone and window frames darker; cars, people and overhanging branches removed, extra flagpoles retouched out. This altered version is shared under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 licence.

  • Concourse with chandeliers, building page

Photograph by Drm310, CC BY-SA 3.0, file page on Wikimedia Commons. Used as published, resized.

  • Steam locomotive by the station, building page

Photograph by Blake Handley, CC BY 4.0, file page on Wikimedia Commons. Altered: the scene re-made with an image generator from a wider, lower angle in late-afternoon light, a figure added on the platform edge, lettering on the small red plates removed.

Writing to the newsroom

Letters for the newsroom go to [email protected]. Write there to correct an error, flag a detail that is out of date, or ask about the guide itself. Casino Regina does not read that inbox. For the casino, its shows or a booking, call the main line at 1-800-555-3189 or the Box Office at 306-565-3000.

Questions to the desk

On what date were the guide's facts checked?
The check date is October 2, 2026, for every fact the Station Line newsroom prints in this guide.
Can the newsroom sell show tickets or answer for the casino?
The newsroom cannot do either, because it is not Casino Regina and works for the guide alone. Tickets and casino questions go to the Box Office at 306-565-3000 or the main line at 1-800-555-3189.
